Come join us for Pecha Kucha Night Kuala Lumpur, our creative night of presentations that goes against convention (20 slides x 20 seconds) in conjunction with the Kuala Lumpur Design Week 2011.
Pecha Kucha Night was devised in Tokyo by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham (of Klein Dytham Architecture) in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network and show their work in public.
It has turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in hundreds of cities around the world, inspiring creative’s worldwide. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of conversation (“chit chat”), it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. It’s a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.
Pecha Kucha Nights have mushroomed in over 230 cities all over the world, from its humble origins in a Tokyo bar, and in Kuala Lumpur it is hosted by the British Council.
